Double-Take

Look what showed up overnight!

Rice! Loads & loads of rice!
I swear…it wasn’t there yesterday.

No really, I’m not kidding…it wasn’t there yesterday.

And now it’s EVERYWHERE!!!
But I know what part of the plant the rice comes from now…[my sing-song voice]
…and so do you!
I’ll just let you bask in that knowledge for a while.

Pomegranate Granita

While I wish I could claim this recipe as my own, it’s not. I stumbled on it one day while searching for granita recipes online.
A granita is kind of like a coarse snow-cone. It’s made of sugar, water & whatever flavoring you like – I use juice ’cause it’s easy.
