The only time it pays to be a tall woman in Korea
 wrote this at 10:37 pm

[decided to start in the middle of the story - just to shake things up]

Part of the Family Day festivities at the gunnery – aka the Rodriguez Live Fire Center outside of Pocheon - included our very own “live fire” demo.

Gunnery: Just like it sounds. A place to go with guns. The guys carry their guns – everywhere; the helicopters are loaded with rounds & rockets.

And I found myself, with my rinky-dink point & shoot camera, towering over & amongst the little Korean men from some pretty major news sources.

There was AP News & Reuters – to name a few.

All with 3 foot lenses & cool one-legged tripods.

And they were all jockeying for the best spots to take pictures.

I wasn’t the only wife there…but I was the only one willing to brave the wind, the cold & piles of deep snow to get a once-in-a-lifetime shot.

The rest were standing warm & snug in the VIP Viewing building – just to our right.

But they didn’t get to snag this shot!

There’s lots more to share – but it’s getting late here & I’m still defrosting from yesterday.

Hope you’re having a great weekend!
