And other stories to save for tomorrow
jennifer wrote this at 10:31 pm

My neighbor Cynthia & I took a walk this afternoon to the ville for Market Days.

This is one of the little ramshackle houses that reside in the middle of Anjung- Ri.

I took a few good pictures of the market days themselves and some of the surrounding scenery. But for now this is all you get.

It’s past 10pm here & waiting until the end of the day to blog is not going so well for me – especially on nights like tonight.

The black dog in his excitement to see me just head-butted me pretty good – right in the sweet spot. The spot that’s been killing me for over two weeks straight & I need to go crash now.

But I promise to tell you all about it tomorrow.

FOOT NOTES:

H-Girl: Would love to have 3 dogs – would love more actually. But Army life isn’t so conducive to pets - plus the fact that when we fly back home, we’re only allowed to take one pet per passenger on the plane.

Alicia: Man, do I know it! It’s been hard not to just snatch him up & run like Hell. But the neighborhood knows I’ve been asking around about him.

Gen: Thanks so much for confessing your embarrassing moment (got a great giggle out of that one) & the great story about Scarlet on the couch. You wanna talk about big…try sitting on the couch next to the Mooch. She’s a couch hog, a bed hog…you name it, she takes it. But she also thinks she’s a little lap dog, so she has to be everywhere you are…which tonight included scratching on the bathroom door & breathing heavily through it because for once I actually closed it to get some semblance of peace & quiet for all of 5 minutes.

I see your dilemma…. Any chance in finding some good homes for them out there? (I know this may be easier said then done- I used to live in Southeast Asia, and many people didn’t have the same feelings on dogs as pets as I did……)

Good luck, and I love the pictures.

ahhh, so fun to get a personal footnote! I’m glad you got a giggle about my embarassing moment as I was hoping it would be cute to you. How silly is that? Jeez… Scarlet would give Mooch a run for her money when it comes to couches and snuggling. She is SUCH a snuggler and snugglable dog; she was destined to be with us because her snuggles are what we love best. BTW, I’m voting for Sirius on the “one pet per passenger” and completely understand the dilemma. You can’t break the culutural taboo and yet you can’t neglect him or the fuzzy puppy. Life just isn’t fair. Surely you’re racking up good karma points in doing what you can. :) For giggles you might check this post out: http://mattandgengrady.blogspot.com/2009/01/big-girl-bed.html
I have not posted alot recently, too much happening, but I think that is a fun one for doggy lovers. :)

So What Do You Think?
