Which one would you choose?
jennifer wrote this at 10:09 pm

One of the “can’t miss” things about being stationed in Korea is having a custom oil painting made.

This is the gentleman that works at Osan and there’s one at Humphreys, too.

They each work the same way…painting from your photos – be it a whole family portrait or combining all your wallet-sized school photos into one image.

And they each use magnifying glasses to be able to see all the really fine detail.

The prices aren’t bad…for 2 people it can run $160 US for a 15 x 18 to $410 US for a 24 x 36.

Of course, if you have more background detail or want the whole body included there’s an extra charge.

And while I don’t have the money at the moment, I’d like to start saving to have one of our wedding photos painted.

But I’m not sure which one. So what do you think? Which would you choose?…

The kiss on the moon bridge?

(We married at the Japanese Gardens in Fort Worth, TX – my favorite place in the world – in October just so all the maples would be beautiful reds & golds…but none of the leaves had turned in time.)

Or…

The upclose one of us?

Granted – the kiss shot I’d do in a larger size, and the upclose smaller – because we don’t need to see ourselves supersized on the wall.

But again, it’s just one of those things not to not do while you’re here.

  1. They’re both beautiful but would probably choose the up close photo. Have a great weekend!

That was such a fun weekend. Makes me really miss you!
I love those pictures, I have the close up one of your cute little faces framed & in my
living area. Great photographer by the way :) I really need to get my camera back out.

My vote would be the bridge photo …
or you could have the close up one done and then you could do the bridge one yourself.
How cool would that be ?!?!

Miss You, Love You and all that Happy Stuff !
    XOXO

I love the one on the bridge. Although to have both of them done would be amazing. I can’t wait to get one done of our wedding picture when I get over there.

Where in the DFW area are you from? I’ve been to the Japanese Gardens too. One of my favorite places in Fort Worth, for sure.

    bridge shot fer sure

Wow, what BEAUTI-FUL photos! Gosh, I don’t think we have any quite that gorgeous from our wedding. For artistic expression I really love the bridge one. And I’m betting that there are lots of the up close photos rolling around making the bridge one all the more breath taking. Lucky you two!

It seems like it was only yesterday! What a beautiful day for an even more beautiful wedding. And while the maples didn’t cooperate, the gardens themselves made for an unforgettable experience. I love the twinkle in both your and Eric’s eyes. The close up is my favorite, but the bridge shot would probably make a better big picture.

My vote is for the kiss on the bridge. Although they’re both wonderful pictures I love what that photo captures.

  8. The bridge, the bridge , the bridge! Is that three votes? The picture shows so much: love, romance, possibilities, promise. Go for it !

  9. Scott F says:

Well, depends. The one with the kiss on the bridge would forever capture the moment. The one close up would forever capture your joy and your youth. Both are good. I can’t vote as I can’t decide!

  10. Sandra Sterling says:

Jenn: I love the one on the bridge. I can see that in a special setting in a future home, with the leaves in the background kind of misted out around the edges like you do with Photo Shop or other programs.

  11. Is there any way you could have both done? If not, I vote for the bridge.

So What Do You Think?
