Does this happen to you?…
You get the dining table all cleared off, no more junk, no more papers – a lovely dining table again.
Only to have your husband come home & dump everything out of his pockets all over it?
(Of course I’m asking now because he’s not yet made it home & there’s a good chance he won’t see this until tomorrow.)

So I’m taking a poll…
Does your husband carry less junk? Or more?
Let’s see, we have:
- Beret
- Belt
- Wallet
- Watch
- Dog tags
- Car keys
- Ear plugs
- Ear plug case
- 95 cents
- Recruiter badge
- Army ID
- Boot blousers
- 1 Flashlight, big
- 1 Flashlight, small
- Flash drive
- Prescription sunglasses
- Army code of conduct
- US Army patch
- 2ID patch
- 4ID combat patch
- Name patch
- Rank patch
- US Flag patch
- Pen
- Pencil
- Pen light
- Sharpie marker
- Leatherman
- Notepad
- Cell phone
- Energy drink
Ok, so that last one doesn’t really count since it doesn’t come out or off of a pocket.
If he was any other man, the boy would need a man-bag. But believe it or not, there are pockets enough on his uniform to lug all this stuff & more around.
At least he put his combat boots somewhere else for a change.
Love you, Baby.

oh yeah, my hall table, kitchen island, computer desk(also in the kitchen), sometimes diningroom table, his dresser…and any other available surface…papers, wallet, badge, 3 sets of keys, glasses, sunglasses, pens(many many pens) various forms, notes, etc. depending on the time of year…and shoes galore in the front hall…sometimes I think I am married to Imelda Marcos with all the shoes!
Love him anyway!
Hell that aint nothing.I carry more than that in my right pocket.
I have no husband, so my house is always clean.
Ha Ha !
OK, minus the flashlights, but add a full duty belt with a PR 24, ASP, pepper spray, lots of keys, and handcuffs. But mine does coffee instead of energy drinks, so add one travel mug and one stainless steel thermos. We won’t even go in to all the gear that lives permanently in his car. I wish he had a little room all his own to unload in. My house is never clean. I miss you, life has been hard lately.
I saw that picture and it made me smack my face in frustration.
My husband does the exact same thing and it makes me cringe. He keeps all his patches on his uniforms and just makes me wash them while their on. But he still carries all the stupid little cards he receives with acronyms and little booklets and a surefire. But my husband smokes, a lot, and imagine all that but with an actual mess of cigarette butts and tobacco flying out. He refuses to throw his butts on the ground when he’s at certain places so he pockets them (which is good, right?) but then the leftover tabacco falls out and into the pockets and come laundry time i’m carrying the pants and i leave a trail of tabacco and tiny papers in my wake. It even keeps coming in the washer and dryer. The pile of crap I can deal with but the dead cigarettes complete the “mess”.
oh and at any given time i am liable to find 2 to 3 lighters in one uniform. Some fall out in the washer. These are the only things that never make it to the table because he always needs them. le sigh….
but i’m glad others have the same problem. That means its normal. ::DD
