A few days ago I cooked our favorite dumplings for supper & wound-up giving us both food poisoning.
[at least that was the initial arm-chair diagnosis]
It took Eric less than a day with his iron stomach to get better. Me?…Not so much with the iron stomach bit.
Although for EricĀ I think eating only 3 different kinds of MRE’s for the firstĀ 6 months during his time in Iraq helped train him to deal with stomach pain.
MRE – Meal Ready to Eat:Pre-packaged food love courtesy of the Army with a shelf-life of 10+ years. And yes – honest to God, the boy ate the same 3 kinds of MRE’s for 6 months straight. It’s all they had.
But my stomach doesn’t seem to want to get over whatever this was.
And this lone remaining bird house gourd from our backyard is a perfect depiction of how I feel.

Twisted, tortured…with no foreseeable escape.
Ugh.
I can’t even look at it without wincing.

ugh, that sucks! Hope you’re feeling better soon.
I remeber one time we went to eat with your parents .I had eaten a bad burger early in the day,the burger was bad.It hit me as we got to the resturant. It was bad and not my finest hour.Great fun for our supper club.
