Maggie Moo is a big girl. The problem is that she doesn’t know it.
She’s afraid of just about everything….at least at first.
Take yesterday’s walk for example.
One minute everything’s fine…Eric & I are walking side by side with Maggie in tow, the next I look back to see I’ve just walked 20 feet ahead of them.
Oh look…there they are.
Maggie has obviously gone into shut-down mode and there’s Eric - trying to coax her out of it.
What spooked her this time?
It was a BIG, NOISY, SCARY GREEN MONSTER!

It had this one great-big arm that swung wildly about & thrashed in the air!
It was going to grab up Moo & eat her whole!!!
(At least that’s what she thought.)
Eric coaxed & coaxed…gently inching her forward. I sweet talked & offered the dog treats out of my pocket.
All while the neighbors laughed at her…at us…then back at her…and back at us.
Nothing was working – not even public shame & humiliation.
So after several minutes of pleading & what must’ve felt like hours of monsterous torture to Moo, Eric did what any good Daddy would do.

He threw on his superman cape & swooped down to save Maggie – just in time.

“Don’t laugh…It was really scary.”

And I’ve got a dog that’s about as big as a minute that would try to chew off the arm of that green monster if I told her to “GIT it”…….go figure. Poor Maggie. My suggestion is to take her there often (if you can) and let her see it won’t hurt her cause….guaranteed….SHE won’t forget about it. Poor baby…….can you just imagine what was going on in her head?
