LIBBY BLUE!

(Short for Liberty Blue)

What’s that?…

Why yes…you’re right…it doesn’t sound very Korean-ish, does it?

Well, the intention for a Korean name was there – spent the whole day flippin’ through the little Korean-English dictionary we bought.

And when that failed, we started looking up names in Korean mythology & folklore.

But I just couldn’t find a name that either sounded pretty, seemed to fitĀ orĀ that I could pronounce without butchering.

It’s one thing to butcher Korean at home where no one would know the difference.

But here?

Yeah, not so much.

So Libby it is.

That is one stinkin’ fantastic photo of Libby Blue! What a lovely name, I love that she has a first and middle name; something to yell when she’s being extra bad. When we got married I anguished over whether to change my last name and finally decided to do it (for the future kids, couldn’t stomach having a different name) with the caveat that the animals would be hyphenated, so poor Scarlet has 3 names too. It made me feel better. :) What a beauty you have.

So is she still a “Jucie Girl” (I just had to do it)

So What Do You Think?
