Four years ago Eric & I were married at the Japanese Gardens in Fort Worth, TX.
(Although to look at the picture you’d think it was over the summer. We somehow picked the one day, one year when the maple leaves decided not to turn beautiful shades of red, orange & gold – which was the whole point of getting married in October.)
Since Eric has to work today, I’m attempting to make a big, fancy dinner. Well, fancy for someone with my few cooking skills.
So I’ve got to get moving if I’m going to get everything done in time. But I promise to remember to take pictures of my disasterpiece* along the way.
Wish me luck!

*While I wish I could claim credit for coining the term disasterpiece, alas I did not. It was my favorite blogger’s children’s phrase for the spectacular post-modern, deconstructed, what-else-can-we-shove-in-thereĀ cake they made for their mother. But I like the word – it fits me perfectly. So I’m going to start using it from here on out.

Congratulations! It was a beautiful wedding for a beautiful couple. Enjoy your disasterpiece
Happy Anniversary! I’m sure your husband will love whatever you fix for dinner.
Happy Anniversary!! It was a beautiful wedding, even if the trees decided not to cooperate with your plans. I know your special meal will be great! Love you both!
Congratulations!
I can’t believe it’s been 4 years! And yes it was a beautiful and enjoyable evening. You guys looked so great that night and I really enjoyed meeting your family and friends.
When you’re going over your recipe, just remember to turn on the lights so you can see or you’ll have to “wing it” somewhat like Scott did ! (By the way, Good job Scott)
Love you both!!!!
