It's not your father's rock & roll

kabuki-1

That’s the best description I can give it….Men in drag, singing away to a style of Korean rock.

They were the entertainment that played the Korean side of 4th of July festival.

There was the wanna-be Britney drummer…

kabuki-2

…a man dressed as a little old woman….

…and a clown. Although I’m not sure how he fit into everything.

kabuki-3

We couldn’t understand a word they sang, but the locals seemed to love them.

These were the best shots we could get through the crowd that surrounded them.

Grub Salad is my own creation. Unfortunately, it’s not really a salad & it’s nowhere near vegetarian. It’s pure Texan: beef, rotel, ranch beans, etc.

Truth be told, it was an attempt to make something my friend Lisa would eat.

(Sshhh…don’t tell anyone but Lisa doesn’t eat cheese.)

There was a party somewhere & I said I’d bring the queso, but then I remembered Lisa doesn’t eat cheese….ahh, let me rephrase…she doesn’t eat one of the ingredients in queso. : )

So I split my normal queso recipe into halves: 1 half cheese, the other half all of the other ingredients.

Everyone loved the cheese-less half so much that I just started making it without the cheese from there on and officially named it Grub Salad.

That’s what those men are up to, right?

So What Do You Think?
