For a cold pup
jennifer wrote this at 9:56 pm

This is my little stuffed sausage, Maggie Moo.

Since it’s been so cold here for so long…so much snow on the ground that won’t seem to go away…she’s been hesitant to go for walks.

When we do go, she comes home with a runny nose & chills.

Short-haired dogs just don’t do so well in the cold.

Well, at least not this one.

So I found a custom-sized coat for her on Etsy which came in the mail yesterday.

I thought I had measured it out so that there’d be a little wiggle room, but the girl has obviously filled out a little more in a month’s time.

Probably all those peanut-butter potty treats.

But she got her first chance to try it out today…and man, does she love it!

She ran & ran & ran & ran & ran & ran & ran & ran.

And when it was finally time to head back home she still wanted to play.

But it was time to go – so back on the leash she went as we made our way back.

I stopped to take a picture of the huge icicles hanging off the training building…moved forward to take it at another angle…and the next thing I knew Maggie was swinging me around – still wanting to play – as I fell square on my knee & hit the ground.

All for that picture.

One that looks just like the other one.

Now I’ve got a very swollen, very bruised knee & I’m hopping a bus tomorrow for family day in the field.

It’s a 3 hour trip one-way. I’ll get to watch a live fire demo (and take lots of pictures), eat what I hope to be a better lunch than our Christmas Dinner & then spend 2 hours with Eric before hopping the bus back home.

All I know is that I’m heading north into the mountains & it’s going to be much colder than it is here.

But I ought to have some great pictures for a change.

Hope you all are having a wonderful Friday!

One lonely response
  1. Love Maggie Moo’s coat. I’m going to have to search Etsy to see if I can find one for Mikey, our lab mix. Hope your knee is/was better so you can/could enjoy family day!

So What Do You Think?
