Maggie Moo turned two this month.
It’s easy to forget her size when you see her day in & day out.
But those who’ve met her in person have called her all sorts of names:
A horse, a cow…

a beast, a monster.

Just last weekend the Korea security guard at the gate called her “fierce dog”…
…upon which she sighed heavily & rolled her eyes at him.

In her mind she’s not that big.

In her mind, Smores (the neighbor’s Tzi Shuh puppy) is just as big as her….bigger when he barks.

And Smore’s boy, Josh – a ten year-old…is her boy.
He’s just as big as her…so she can’t be that big…so she thinks.
So who are they to call her such names!

[sssshhhhh]
If they only knew she had another year to grow.
But we won’t mention that.

When we moved here 14 years ago from Dallas, we brought our Mastiff “Babe” with us. She’s been gone a few years now, but she was one of our favorites. She didn’t reach her full girth till she was 5-6 years old and weighed in at 196. She was a brindle, but I love Moo’s color. If I got another, I would definitely choose the fawn and I would probably get a male. But I’m getting too old to handle a dog that size and too poor (thanks to our present administration) to afford the bills that accompany that size of a pet. But I do love them. Moo is sure a sweetie. We had Babe put down at the age of 12 (very old for a Mastiff, big dogs don’t live as long) She was still our baby but could not longer get up and down and around without extreme pain. That was very difficult and I wouldn’t want to do it again. I miss her still.

She is a great look’n pup! Sarah’s dauhgter is in love with the Moo!
What a love! She’s just the sweetest thing, isn’t she? I’ve always thought that large dogs were more gentle with kids. The picture of Maggie Moo and Josh just proves her sweet nature. Happy Birthday to Maggie Moo!
What a pretty little thing ! Happy Birthday to Ms. Moo.
Miss you and love you both.
What you need is a big dog! Ha!! Isn’t that the way it always is…the big dogs think they are little and want to be lap dogs, and the little ones think they are giants! Your first pic makes Moo look so sophisticated, but then you see her just being Moo! Too cute!
Ohhhh how beautiful, we love Miss Maggie Moo. Thanks for the pics. Josh is going to be a big dog guy ’cause of Moo. He loves her. So does S’mores!
