These are Eric’s desert combat boots.

The boots that he went to Iraq with. The boots that he’s been wearing everyday since.

This is Maggie Moo.

Maggie Moo is waiting for Daddy to come home from PT this morning because she knows she’s in trouble.

boots-3

She looks back at the front door every time she hears a noise.

boots-4

“No, Moo-Moo…Daddy’s not home yet. But it won’t be much longer now.

boots-5

And when he gets home, you’re going haveĀ to tell him what you did.

boots-6

You’re just going to have to own up to it like a big girl.”

Here he comes…

boots-9

‘Daddy, I love you…I love you SO much…I really do…

…but last night?…Last night I wanted to play with your stinky socks, just like I always do…

…but…but these were yesterday’s stinky socks. So they weren’t that stinky anymore…and…and…Well, I found your boots & they smelled REALLY stinky…and…and I…and I…

…I couldn’t help myself!

Daddy?…”

boots-10

“Daddy?….”

boots-11

“Are you getting breakfast?…Is that cereal?…Can I have some?…”

boots-13

“Ok, ok – I promise I won’t touch your boots ever again if I can have some cereal.”

boots-12

“Besides, Mom says I need fiber. She couldn’t find any of the metal lace supports I chewed off.”

So what’s the worst thing your dog has ever chewed-up?

Lisa Falcon forwarded me the link to your blog and I love it! I love your dog too. I’m a mastiff owner myself and I just love them. Mine is a puppy and still chewing the heck out of everything so I can relate.

So What Do You Think?
