Conundrum?...Conundrum...yeah, that's it - co-num-drum

How to fit this….

into this….

kitchen

You’ll notice a couple of things here:

  1. Yes, the top cabinets open upward…and they don’t stay up when you open them.
  2. Yes, that is a tortilla warmer on top of the American microwave – a girl can dream, cant’ she?
  3. Yes, there’s already stuff in all those cabinets…and yeah, that one over the stove?…Not really a cabinet.
  4. Yes, I packed so much kitchen stuff, I couldn’t fit it all on the dining table.

It’s true…I have a plethora of kitchen gadgets, electronics, plates & bowls.

(Si hefe’, a plethora.)

Now, while I’ve successfully cleared off the table & packed away as much as I could, I got dishes & pans piled up in my girl room..ahh office…taking up valuable space.

I’m pushing 39 (not for much longer now) and I’m wondering at what point in my adult life will I finally have a kitchen that’s a kitchen….with room for all my stuff.

So here’s today’s question…

Do you have a kitchen’s kitchen?…Or are you stuck with an apartment-style micro kitchen, too?

(And for those of you lucky enough to have a real kitchen…please let me know at what age you finally acquired it – I want to start counting down the days.)

I live in a house with a kitchen’s kitchen…but the house isn’t mine! The kitchen is awesome..open, big, lots of space!! So I will continue to count down my days too my dear friend!!

  2. I am 46, & have always lived in big homes, with big kitchens, and lots of stuff. Then one day, I realized that “stuff” was robbing me of my life. So I sold the majority of it. Bought a beautiful townhome. I have a kitchen the size of a bathroom, & I love it!! I realized I was getting worn out when I would cook a meal, in my big kitchens. Now, I still cook huge meals, and I only have a fraction of my stuff…just the basics really! I have never been happier.

I’m 40 and still don’t have a kitchen at all. But give me a few weeks and I will have my very own. Can’t wait. XOXO

Um, does a toaster oven, a bread machine, and a kitchen aid mixer count as a kitchen? I dream of the day Michael knocks down a wall or two so I can have a real oven, a dishwasher, and counter space. bigger than 3 square feet.

Yes, I’m quickly coming to the realization that I need to “down-size”.

So we’ve boxed up one set of stuff to give to the next command sponsored family coming in & the rest?…Well…

Osan had a garage sale not too long ago, maybe they’ll have another one soon.

So What Do You Think?
